Why Pusaka Horology

The Difference Attention Makes

Transparent Assessment

A written condition report is shared before any work begins. You decide whether to proceed, with no pressure and no assumption of commitment.

Documented Work

Every service returns with a written report. Timing records, observations, and photographs where relevant — a clear account of what was done.

Conservation First

Where original character matters, we favour careful conservation over replacement. Small marks of age are preserved when they carry the history of the piece.

Correct Materials

Lubricants, seals, and replacement parts are selected to match the movement's requirements — not simply what is available. Each material choice is considered.

Unhurried Timelines

Good workshop work takes the time it takes. We communicate realistic timelines and keep you informed of progress without over-promising.

Kuala Lumpur Based

A local atelier in Jalan Sultan Ismail. You can visit in person, discuss your piece, and collect it yourself when work is complete.

Common Questions

Questions About the Workshop

Do I need to commit to a service before the assessment?
No. The first step is always a written condition report. We share our findings and the proposed scope with you, and work only proceeds once you have agreed in writing. There is no obligation at the assessment stage.
How long does a mechanical movement overhaul take?
Most overhauls are completed within four to eight weeks, depending on the movement's condition and whether any components require sourcing. We communicate a realistic timeline once the assessment is complete and keep you informed of progress.
What happens during a vintage dial restoration?
We begin with a written condition assessment and your approval of scope. Where original character matters, we favour conservation — small marks of age are retained when they speak to the watch's history. Photographs of the work in progress are returned alongside the completed piece.
Can I keep my original crystal rather than replace it?
We offer a quiet consultation on whether the original crystal can be retained or repolished. Where this is meaningful to the collector or owner, we will explore that option before proceeding with a replacement.
Are prices the same for all watch brands?
The prices shown reflect a starting point for each service. The final cost depends on the movement's condition, the brand, and the complexity of work required. All of this is explained clearly in the written assessment before you decide.
