My grandfather's Seiko 5 had not run for about seven years. I brought it in not expecting much, but the team sent me a full written report within a few days explaining what they found and what they suggested. I agreed to the overhaul and the watch was back with me in just over five weeks — running well and with a timing record I would not have thought to ask for. Kept everything original.

The dial restoration on my Omega Seamaster from the mid-1970s was handled carefully. I was relieved they asked me before touching the ageing — I specifically wanted the patina left as it was, and they respected that completely. The photos they sent during the process were genuinely useful. Timeline was six weeks, which they mentioned upfront. Would have been five stars but communication was slightly slower than I hoped on one occasion.

Brought in my husband's dress watch — a scratched crystal he had been putting off replacing for years. They asked whether he wanted it repolished or replaced with sapphire, and explained the difference clearly. We chose the sapphire replacement. The job was completed in about two weeks and the seal check was a nice detail I did not expect them to include without asking.

I collect old Malaysian-market Citizen watches from the 1980s. Most repair shops either turn them away or give me worrying quotes with vague explanations. Pusaka Horology knew exactly what the movement was and explained what the service would involve before I committed. The overhaul took about six weeks and the timing record they provided showed +8 seconds per day in crown-up position — more than acceptable for a movement of that age.

The dial on my mother's watch needed attention — moisture had got in at some point and left marks near the six o'clock position. The written assessment was thorough and they explained what could and could not be recovered. They were honest that full restoration was not possible without refinishing the entire dial, and since we did not want that, they conserved what they could. The result was better than I expected given those constraints.

Came across this workshop through a collector forum. Had a Longines with a shattered crystal — the watch had been sitting in a drawer for two years because I could not find someone I trusted with it. The consultation about whether to attempt original crystal retention was something I have never experienced before from a watch repair service. They recommended replacement in the end, and the rationale was sound. Very glad I found them.

Mechanical Movement Overhaul · 2025

The Situation

A 1978 Seiko Lord Matic inherited from his father had not run reliably for years — stopping after a few days of wear and losing several minutes daily when it did run. Previous attempts at repair elsewhere had not improved matters and had left the owner uncertain about who to trust.

What Was Done

A full mechanical overhaul: disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, replacement of two worn parts identified in the condition assessment, lubrication at movement-correct grades, and positional regulation. The owner approved the scope in writing before work began. Completed in five weeks.

The Outcome

Returned running at +4 seconds per day in dial-up position, with a timing record covering six positions. The owner keeps the service report with the original box. "It was my father's watch — I wanted it treated as if it mattered, not just fixed."

Vintage Dial Restoration · 2025

The Situation

A ladies' Tissot from 1965 had a dial with significant moisture staining in one quadrant. The piece had sentimental value — it had been worn daily by the owner's grandmother — and she was anxious about any restoration that might alter its character.

What Was Done

A written assessment confirmed which areas could be addressed without affecting the dial's existing surface. Conservation work targeted the moisture-affected zone only. Progress photographs were sent at two stages. The owner had the option to halt work at any point. Completed in seven weeks including movement service.

The Outcome

The moisture staining was resolved in the affected area. The rest of the dial remains as it was — including the age marks near the twelve o'clock position that the owner specifically wanted retained. "Seeing the photographs at each stage made it feel less anxious. I knew what was happening."

Crystal Replacement + Overhaul · 2025

The Situation

A Longines Conquest from around 1990 with a deeply scratched mineral crystal and a movement that had not been serviced in at least fifteen years. The owner brought it in for the crystal and was unsure whether to address the movement at the same time.

What Was Done

The assessment clearly showed the movement needed attention regardless — worn escape wheel teeth and dried lubricants. The owner chose to combine both services. A matched sapphire replacement crystal was fitted and the movement overhauled. Eight weeks total, with the owner updated when the original scope needed to expand.

The Outcome

Both services completed, with the combined cost confirmed in writing before work started. The movement is now running at +6 seconds per day. The owner noted the timeline was longer than hoped, giving four stars — which was communicated honestly upfront and accepted. "Transparent from start to finish, even when the news was not all good."
