Terms & Conditions


The conditions that govern the service relationship between Pusaka Horology and those who entrust their timepieces to our care.

Please read these terms carefully. By engaging Pusaka Horology for any service — whether by submitting an enquiry, leaving a timepiece for assessment, or confirming a service order — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If any part is unclear, we encourage you to contact us before proceeding.

1. About Pusaka Horology

Pusaka Horology operates a watch restoration and repair workshop at Lot 12-3A, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. References to "we", "us", or "the workshop" throughout this document refer to Pusaka Horology. "You" refers to the client or prospective client accessing our services or website.

2. Services Offered

We offer the following services, as described on our website:

  • Mechanical Movement Overhaul — full disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, regulation, and reassembly of mechanical and automatic movements.
  • Vintage Dial Restoration — hand-finished restoration work on dials affected by age, moisture, or oxidation.
  • Sapphire Crystal Replacement — replacement of damaged or scratched crystals with matched sapphire glass, including gasket renewal and sealing checks.

Additional or incidental work may be discussed and agreed upon separately in writing before it is carried out.

3. Enquiries and Assessment

Submitting an enquiry through our contact form or by telephone does not constitute a service agreement. It initiates a conversation.

Before any billable work begins, we will provide a written condition assessment. Work will only proceed once you have reviewed and provided written agreement on the scope. You are under no obligation to proceed after receiving an assessment.

If, during the course of work, we discover additional issues not identified at the initial assessment stage, we will pause and contact you before proceeding. No additional charges will be applied without your prior written approval.

4. Pricing and Payment

Published service prices are indicative starting points for standard service scope:

  • Mechanical Movement Overhaul — from RM 2,500
  • Vintage Dial Restoration — from RM 3,800
  • Sapphire Crystal Replacement — from RM 1,200

Final pricing will be confirmed in the written assessment, once the condition of your timepiece has been evaluated in person. Prices may vary based on movement complexity, component availability, or the extent of restoration required.

Payment is due upon collection of your timepiece, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Part-payment arrangements may be discussed at our discretion.

All prices are quoted inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5. Turnaround and Timelines

Estimated turnaround times will be communicated during the assessment stage. These are estimates, not firm commitments. Some work — particularly vintage restoration — may take longer than initially anticipated due to the nature of the craft, parts sourcing, or the condition of the piece.

We will keep you informed of progress and notify you promptly if any delay is anticipated. We respectfully ask for the same consideration: if your collection plans change, please contact us in advance.

6. Care of Your Timepiece

We handle all timepieces entrusted to us with the same attention we would give to our own. While in our care:

  • Timepieces are stored securely in our workshop premises.
  • We document condition on intake and throughout the service process, including photographs where relevant.
  • We do not subcontract work without your knowledge and written agreement.

In the unlikely event of accidental damage caused by our negligence during the service process, we will discuss this with you openly and take responsibility accordingly. We do not exclude liability for our own negligence.

7. Uncollected Timepieces

If a completed timepiece is not collected within 90 days of notification, we will attempt to contact you using the details provided. After a further 60-day period without contact or collection, we reserve the right to apply a storage fee or, as a last resort, to transfer the piece to a bonded facility. We will make every reasonable effort to reach you before taking any such step.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you in connection with any service is limited to the value of the service fee paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including sentimental value, unless caused by our own negligence or wilful misconduct.

We strongly recommend that you maintain appropriate insurance for your timepiece while it is in transit to and from our workshop. We are not responsible for loss or damage occurring outside of our premises.

9. Website Use

The information on our website is provided for general guidance. While we take care to keep it current and accurate, we cannot accept responsibility for reliance on information that may have changed since your visit.

All content on this website — including text, images, and design — is the property of Pusaka Horology and may not be reproduced without our written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from your use of our services or website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with the date shown above, is the current version. Significant changes will be noted. Continued use of our services after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
